Going Backwards: CMS strangling release of dialysis info
« on: March 27, 2011, 01:31:56 PM »
I don't always trust big government and I don't always trust big business, but my paranoia meter gets pegged when it looks like the two are in cahoots.

I just talked to Arlene, a founder of DialysisEthics, and she is telling me CMS is telling states to withhold releasing 2567s: inspection reports of dialysis clinics.

I'm sure they are just withholding information for our own good - just like Libya and North Korea do!  Am I wrong to be a little concerned here?

Also I understand Arlene will be visiting North Carolina and our friend Larry Hall.  Wishing all a safe and pleasant visit!

Wow I think it is cause for concern as I would wonder why they are holding it back? What are they waiting for?

Don't know why they would think holding back now would do them any good.  But anyway, I got a call from Arlene and Daniel Wolfe from Health and Human Services is saying 2567s will be released now.

I apologize for a miscommunication.  I thought something new was going on here, but it is something CMS has been doing all along!  That's all!

I don't take back the crack about Libya and North Korea though.
