Study: Doubling dialysis makes hearts healthier

Dialysis patients who underwent sessions up to six times a week, instead of the conventional three, showed improvement in their heart condition and told researchers they felt better, a study found.

It only makes sense if you understand why more dialysis is better for you. Compare it to how often a kidney works ... 24 hours a day 7 days a week right? So why do people honestly think that less dialysis would be better for them? It is hard on the heart to try to take off all the fluid gained between treatments and if they are not long enough and so much is sucked off in only 4 hours .. it is hard on the heart to go from overloaded to too dry to make up for predicted more fluid gain.
