Scully Could Announce Resignation Next Month, Sources Say<
>[Sep 23, 2003] <
> CMS Administrator Tom Scully in recent weeks has met with Atlanta-based law firm Alston & Bird and various lobbying firms to "discuss his future" and will likely announce his resignation within the next month, The Hill reports. According to an unnamed source, Scully has finalized an agreement with Alston & Bird, but a spokesperson for Scully denied the claim, although she said that several lobbying firms have approached Scully about employment, The Hill reports. Scully has made a number of "highly controversial comments" as CMS administrator, but according to The Hill, "There are no indications that Scully has been shown the door." As CMS administrator, Scully has helped to move Medicare bills (HR 1 and S 1) through the House and Senate and has helped develop programs to improve the quality of care at health care facilities (Cusack, The Hill, 9/23).<

Scully should resign. He has probably lined his pockets with the overinflated DaVita stock he acquired when he was on the DaVita Board. He's another example of the DaVita "Smoke and Mirrors" show. The S.E.C. should take a good, long look at DaVita and their overinflated stock price also. It's time to get rid of the rodants!!!!!!!!!!!!!:">
