><<< About a month ago, the dialysis center I attend sent a letter to the patients letting us know that the front door will be locked for security purposes and we must ring the bell to get in. I get there around 5:00 am. We were assured a security guard will be there to protect us. Well, two weeks after recieving the memo, I was having a hard time on the machine. My blood pressure started dropping and I was given saline and
oth. My final pressure was 129/69. I felt okay and was allowed to leave. I went outside to get some air and I started feeling lightheaded and my body started feeling heavy. I got up to get help and the door was locked and I didn't have enough stregnth to ring the bell and I passed out. When I awoke, I was told that I hit my head on the door and I hit the concrete. Do you believe it took the unit fourty minutes to call the ambulance. I guess locking the door to the center was for our safety. Right??????? >>><

This is clearly to keep out unwanted visitors or people who want to see what is happening. It is to ensure that they know who is in there, and to keep others out.<

>In Hawaii, there was an inspection and the staff wouldnt let in an inspector until the Director of Nursing was there. She was on another island, and they were cleaning up like crazy. The inspector got a cheap camera and took pictures.<

I was present for that inspection! In addition, for locking out all those unwanted freaks, is to keep inspectors out, media and Dialysisethics.

But i expect it in time. Right now any abnormal treatment of patients is for those who have the ability to recognize it and many don't because they don't understand the process.<
><
>No patient from our unit will call the health dept. in simply because there is a rat amongst them. If anyone files a claim it is reported back to the unit within minutes. Any clean up or atitude changes that is required will be done until after the inspection.<

>The lowlife techs we have are well versed in protecting each others back and if the offending tech don't get you the buddies will if you say anything.<
><
>The tech i had tonight cooked my temp records and refused to even get a cup of ice for me when she was sitting on her fat a$$ and not doing anything. It's just another fraud by the unit$$$$$$$
