Title: issues at my center
Post by: sullidog on July 12, 2010, 06:07:14 PM
Hi all, I emailed Chris privately but decided I'd share this as well. I'm suppose to be transfering centers but until then here's what I'm dealing with at my current center.
Hi,
I don't know if you could help me or not but here's my situation. At the beginning of the month our dialysis unit gave all patients all new times, they did this without warning, and without asking the patient first if it would work with their schedules. They have also claimed to contact each patient's transportation  about the change. Well I found out that they did not do this. The time they gave me was not suitable for my schedule. While trying to stand up for myself and let them know about it they gave me another new time which was also not suitable. They said I couldn't have my regular chairtime back. The problem with the time they gave me is I work and my time is too late in the evening causing me not to have much of a life outside of dialysis. Also when I go to dialysis I'm usually waiting an hour and today I waited an hour and a half before I got on. Each time they claim to be running behind. While running behind is acceptable sometimes this is almost an every day excus
e from them. They also need to understand that a person like myself who is also blind can not drive himself to and from dialysis so we rely on transportation and when the center is running behind it causes our transportation to run behind. I have exhausted all resources within my center and still have gotten no where. They said they are trying but I really see nothing happening.
Anything you guys can do to help me would be greatly appreciated. Changing times without our and our transportation's notice is wrong in my oppinion.
Troy
