Has DEO attempted to contact these two cele
ities? Since both of them are battling kidney disease they might be interested in lending some cele
ity to the cause.

No we havent contacted these cele
ities. We are getting ready for the public awareness and this is where we are at right now. Getting the flyer and getting the word out. But if you can contact them that would help alot.<
><
>We are getting ideas on the flyers and they will be delivered. It appears that we will be advocating for one of this organizations own. It was as they stated themselves, an Ahhuh moment. It was as everything they were told and the documents finally came and clicked.<
><
>They have one of their own church members who was afraid to complain. She was telling them that everything was alright, only now she is in the hospital and the family is totally upset over what their own mother is going through. We were asked to help out. They realize now at what risk patients in a bad unit go through, and the rights are not honored. They had their own personal experience and others are coming out and validating some of the horrors. They are ready to go!<
><
>They are ready to go with the flyers and will be going on the local radios to alert the citizens in all areas about us and that patients and families need to be educated and to get the word out.<
><
>Today a friend called up and is with this organization, and many of us feel that have been here since the beginning, that this is winable. <
><
>We have gone through the political arena and now have many who have joined up to help us out. We are on the high ground. <
><

I do not know them, but I certainly will do some research and try to get some point of contact. Also, I am writing a letter to the Oprah show. Probably others have already attempted, but I will try again. Her show would be the perfect forum to really get the word out.

They are both former NBA basketball stars. I believe Sean Elliott played for the San Antonio Spurs and received a kidney from his
other a few years ago. Alonzo Mourning plays for the Miami Heat and may currently be on dialysis, I'm not sure, but he does have kidney disease. I think there is information on both of them on the kidney.org website.alonzo & shawn kidney campaign ad <
