She was in a barbaric unit. She fought with tremendous courage and encoraged many. What does it say that she could only now get compassion through a new team of staff in the end zone of care? Her family and friends are grieving tonight. Keep the fight up everyone so others don't have to endure what this dear woman did and die prematurely. Please pray for our ESRD sister, her family and friends that the peace of God cover them.

Are you talking about Joy, also a friend of mine? If so I understand your grief and frustration. I just read an email from her son and cried my eyes out, but now I'm just so angry I could spit nails. Apparently the inadequacies aren't just in the states, and Australia has there dirty little dialysis secrets too! Lin.

"Like me, you could.....be unfortunate enough to stumble upon a silent war. The trouble is that once you see it, you can't unsee it. And once you've seen it, keeping quiet, saying nothing, becomes as political an act as speaking out. Either way, you're accountable."

Arundhati Roy
