We have a direct line, and will forward it. You need to realize that no matter where you go to complain you would come back to the ESRD NETWORKS and then to your clinic.<
><
>This system doesnt work. If you make a complaint all the way to the CIVIL RIGHTS COMMISSION, it will go back to CMS and then the ESRD NETWORK is then to handle it.<
><
>This is why the corruption and the patients are at risk and the industry continues to operate in secrecy. We are having all ESRD NETWORK emails that we do with the press and National Action Network. Let them know they are being watched and will be held accountable.<
><
>I will forward them, if you want the press as security, we will include them. Being silent has allowed this patient population to have abuse happen that we as a nation condem other countries of doing. We are now in a position to let the higher ups follow the failures in this system.<
><
>Silence is killing you.....I will email to one person who I believe will be fair. This is an opportunity to get it out. I will be checking if the emails can include the press. It will be your choice...also Rev Sharptons group you can email directly. We are working together.<
><
>DEO's email amullin@uswest.net or arlene@dialysisethics.org<
><
>National Action Network is kelvinkash@aol.com<
>This is Rev Sharptons right hand person. Let him know that you are from Dialysisethics.org<
><
>ARLENE<

Arlene, what is status? Have you received e-mails, forwarded, or know of those sent directly to National Action Network?<
><
>Based on the comprehensive issues covered in our discussions re CMS meeting and survey, I expect that several e-mails have been sent you and/or National Action Network. Posts over the past couple of days show that there are strong concerns about:<
><
>Adequacy of Dialysis Treatments; Choice of Treatment Modality; Reuse Issues; Complaints without Fear of Retaliation; Patients' Quality of Life; Patient Education; Abolishment of Networks; Dialysis Compare and Inclusion of Survey Data from State Agencies; Standards of Care; Dumpings of Patients; Physicians' Safe Harbor.<
><
>I do hope that all of us who are so "vocal" on the board are as supportive of your/our efforts by providing that needed as you request.<
><
>If National Action Network is providing the leadership in planning and effecting demonstrations and marches on our behalf, they need to hear from us. They need especially to hear from the patients who are directly affected and whose lives are at stake. <
><
>If each of us communicate one pressing issue to National Action Network, it will go far in helping you "educate" others and carry out our public awareness campaign.<
><
>You work so hard. You deserve our active support.

DOes the National Action Network have a website? If there is a website, is there a link to the DEO website? Is there any mention of the dialysis issues on that site?

Nationalaction.com is a domain name that is for sale. Nationalactionnetwork.com is also not a valid website.

So much for my memory.....I will contact them on Tuesday and this time write it down.

"Like me, you could.....be unfortunate enough to stumble upon a silent war. The trouble is that once you see it, you can't unsee it. And once you've seen it, keeping quiet, saying nothing, becomes as political an act as speaking out. Either way, you're accountable."
