We are waiting for the patients medical records to appear. As the HCFA Policy Officer ruled they had to honor the request as with the Advocacy.<
><
>I talked to the patient and she is saddened that it had to go this far. She likes her dr. One of the Drs of the clinic stated that they were going to sue me personally. I reinstated that we have adequate lawyers who if need be would defend us. I can not help but feel that this is a form of intimidation that the patient is worring about the reprocussions to us and feel that it is infact not only unprofessional, but unfair. This intimidation hopefully will cease.<
><
>We zapped a letter to the ESRD NETWORK and to the head of the clinics. Mr. Tom Simmons that to please cease in upsetting the patient with what they are going to do to me,but to feel free to do as they please. Each letter clearly states our address. They should feel free to deal with me and leave the patient out of it. She has enough to deal with.<
><
>The reason I am
inging this issue up is to assure all of you that we will not back down when we are advocating,if they threaten suits,we are well prepared for that. A patient should know that we will do whatever we can to help you and will stay until you feel it is no longer necessary.<

>Hopefully the patients wishes are honored and she is feeling safe and free of any retaliation. We will go and let the Dr and patient work through the end result. The patient doesnt need to feel that the Dr. is angry at her for exercising her rights.
