> Gam
o has just been certified as a member of the Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) by US<
> customs, a joint government-business partnership that allows businesses to play an active role in the war against<
> terrorism. To achieve certification companies must carry out a comprehensive self-assessment of security throughout<
> their entire supply chain.<
><
> Phil Hendricks, Gam
o Logistics Manager for the Americas and the man who received the official confirmation from US<
> Customs, says: "This is great news and shows the great teamwork Gam
o Global Supply has carried out. Achieving<
> C-TPAT certification is not easy. Before certification is granted a lot of tough criteria must be met and a lot of very<
> detailed information regarding Gam
o's global supply chain security efforts must be gathered and submitted to US<
> Customs for review and analysis."<
><
> C-TPAT certification demands members:<
><
> Conduct a comprehensive self-assessment of supply chain security. <
> Submit a supply chain security questionnaire to Customs. <
> Develop a program to enhance security throughout the supply chain. <
> Communicate C-TPAT guidelines to other companies in the supply chain and work toward building the<
> guidelines into relationships with these companies.<
><
> US Customs states that: "Participation in C-TAPT is but a first important step in what promises to be a<
> sustained effort to meet the challenge posed by the terrorist threat to the United States."<
><
> "At the heart of Gam
o is the commitment to saving lives, to providing security and care to those who need it," says<
> Hendricks. "This certification reflects that commitment, showing that Gam
o strives for high security and protection<
> across its entire supply chain."<

I was in a Gam
o unit. It was a jiffylube all the way. No quality of care whatsoever and the worst staff imaginable. Never once had any contact from a representative from Gam
o. Just a dialysis warehouse.

How can these large dialysis corporation's even begin to waste money on such crap when they do not hire qualified staff, do not keep medications to help with the minimum treatments, and generally harrassing patient's with the same stupid forms to sign.

It sounds like the patients and their families are "terrified"! I know when I sit in that dialysis chair I worry about what will happen to me, but who will keep me safe from undereducated inexperienced staff, and substandard care because of profit margins? We (and our government!) perceive terror to be coming from a
oad, but sometimes it's closer than we/they think! Brings to mind something I always hear growing up: People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones! Lin
