--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We have busy lately with getting ready to make our major push in DC and educating those who need to know what is happening to the patients. <
><
>Realizing that this is a public board, not all can of course be shared. Many have come forward and are helping with committees and doing the last push on research and others help in advocating.<
><
>We are in a position that it is very do-able and can win our major points. Many roadblocks have been put in our path, but we have gone through them. It appears that we are in the best position possible now. All that hard work is paying off. Everyone thought nothing was wrong in this industry and we were whiners and spread conspirator stories. When the truth comes out, you will realize it is worse than you thought. Much is not on the boards. But now dialogues all over the nation are coming down and patients are getting the message and wising up. <
><
>Many in the industry have figured that we were going to the Ways and Means committee as well as the Energy COmmittee, that is true, but they would never believe who has come to our aid in DC.That is not the only place we are going. This they can not wiggle out of and the truth is appalling to these power players. IT will NOT go underground anymore. THe message will not be diluted with those who want 15 minutes of fame to camoflage the issue.<
><
>If I am not on the board it is because we are getting ready for the push and the expose will be coming out at the crucial time. It will not be a flash in the pan. <
><
>This journey has been difficult and seemed hopeless at times, but we kept plugging and chipping away. It was too important to give up. As I have stated we have reached those who will help us and respect how this was done. The little guy can win and money isnt all that it takes,(would of been easier smile) it takes a group who continues forward remembering those who trusted us and faced the dragon 3 times a week. Those patients who state they would rather die than roll over one more time. That is why we fight on, many of those patients are no longer with us,but their spirits are. The workers who have trusted and whose documents have paved the way. It is some powerful stuff.<
><
>A few Nephrologists have contacted us and are willing to help us out. They too feel that this industry needs to clean up and they can become doctors once again. I applaud them and thank them.<
><
>Another lawsuit will be filed .We have won one going for the second on the Federal level.,It appears that some companies would rather risk lawsuits than to do what is right or even to have corporate listen to the patients before we get involved. They have chose to not care and to challenge the patients, that of course is DaVita. They are well aware that they lead the pack in dismissals. <
><
>We will not be on the board as much as in the beginning, but realize we are extremely busy as we have until the election to make changes. We were on the pony after the hearings in 2000, as the optomist that I am I truly knew what the Senate had as evidence and documents and was dumbfounded that nothing was done or that it was intended to ever be done. We fell for it the first time, this time we know what we are dealing with.<
><
>So it is not too late for committees, but we are pushing hard and will be going back to DC in Jan or Feb.<
><
>A friend sent me the book FOUL BALL by Jim Bouton, who fought corruption over a ball park he was trying to save. The passage in the front of the book struck home and want to share it with you.<

>"Like me, you could.....be unfortunate enough to stumble upon a silent war. The trouble is that once you see it, you can't unsee it. And once you've seen it, keeping quiet, saying nothing, becomes as political an act as speaking out. Either way, you're accountable."<
