Officer Gordon and Mr. Buffett,
I've been sending the following forwarded email to the sponsors of bill HB26-1280, a bill I testified for this last spring, a little lonely being the last man standing from our 2007 group that got the original bill passed.
Anyway, I figured it couldn't hurt to throw a Hail Mary pass in the direction of a couple of people who just might be able to get to Warren Buffett better than I ever could (you two) - though I have enjoyed visiting Omaha!
I'll just say if I was close to going to the Great Beyond, I might want to correct some mistakes I've made - or correct mistakes as I've just stood by and watched (even KIDS!!! have been affected). And I'll say there are solutions!
I'll continue to dream the dream that things can get better, fundamentally better without trying to put on all the band-aids. I'm proud of the Colorado bill my friends and I got through the statehouse. But still, it was a band-aid on a fundamentally flawed system.

I was thinking you might be interested in a conversation Tom Mueller had with comedian, writer, and television host Trevor Noah (he hosted Comedy Central's Daily Show for 7 years before Jon Stewart took it over again). The show centered on kidney dialysis Trevor Noah hosted with his friend Eugene.
Some highlights:
At 26:50 they talk about how Warren Buffett is complicit in this (they aren't buying he is "just an investor").
At 30:00 they mention how this looks similar to an investor investing in the Sinaloa Drug Cartel (hey, the investor isn't getting his hands dirty!)
At 55:00 they talk about how government outsourcing can be such a scam
At 59:00 they have a humorous part about wolves and wolves rights (might need the humor by this point)
And I did write a fairly recent Guest Opinion for the Loveland Reporter-Herald newspaper. I managed to tie various kinds of abuse together.

To whom it may concern,
I thought I would make you aware of a Walk in Omaha this coming May 3rd - this coincides with Warren Buffett's annual stockholders' meeting. I'm only trying to help a billionaire on the Road to Redemption - at 94 years old he might want to start hedging his bets about what is waiting for him in the Great Beyond!
This will be my 3rd trip and I must admit so far these trips have been lightly attended - to put it mildly (hard to get people to come to a dialysis party, go figure). However NYT’S best-selling author Tom Mueller - recent book 'How To Make a Killing' - has called me a prophet. Actually I feel more like Don Quijote with a peashooter - my wife would agree with this last assessment (so mean). But I can only try.
To show I mean business, I'll say I've already written to an Omaha police officer, a police officer I've written the last couple of years. And now I've begun writing the media. The least I can do is raise a little awareness.
So let me know if you would like to go further with this! I'm sure people will soon be lining up at my door to talk to me! (I crack me up) If nothing else, I'm looking forward to talking to some nice people in Omaha.
And I will say this is the most horrific example of the pitfalls of the corporatization of our democracy that I’ve ever seen! And I’ve been watching this for decades.
